My name is Samuel, I'm 17 years old and have been playing squash for over two years now. Last year, I took a big step by climbing from 500th to 89th place in the European junior rankings. I also play among the top Dutch youth players in the Elite category.
My dream of becoming a professional squash player arose two years ago while watching a premier league match in the Netherlands, in which two top 10 players in the world faced each other. At that moment, I knew for sure: this is what I want to do when I grow up.
I have wonderful years ahead of me in my elite sports career. In the coming year, I will play several international tournaments and prepare myself with intensive training, both in the Netherlands and abroad.
Unfortunately, there is no financial support from the squash association or NOC/NSF in the Netherlands. This means that all costs have to be covered by myself. Therefore, I could really use your support to continue developing optimally.
By being able to continue training and participating in international tournaments, my dream of becoming a top squash player becomes a reality.
